At the NAJRI, students are exposed to the legacy of jazz via historical materials as well as living in the moment of jazz.  The idea is that this will significantly enhance the students’ educational endeavors.    While students have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study, their experience will be even greater – through the enhancement of music – irrespective of the subject they choose as their primary discipline.
